TransPacific Selected by the Moroccan Government
ALTERNATIVE ENERGY, FINANCE – INTERNATIONAL, INDUSTRY NEWSTransPacific is selected as a member of a three-company consortium that will design, develop, install, and optimize a 1MW Thermal Solar driven Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) energy project in Morocco.
This landmark project will feature TPE‘s unique technology. TPE’s proprietary heat recovery and energy conversion process uses multi-fluids to maximize heat recovery and efficiently convert waste heat directly into energy. TPE‘s systems efficiently convert waste heat directly from industrial processes, solar, geothermal, biomass and landfill into renewable electrical energy. TPE also offers thermal storage and power generation using warm ocean waters and desalination. TPE delivers innovative solutions for a cleaner greener world and helps reduce global warming.
The selection of TPE as a partner in this initiative was originally announced June 17, 2012 by the Moroccan government agency, Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN), that oversees the project. Other members of the partnership include SNC-Lavalin, one of the largest engineering and construction firms in the world, and MITHRAS Energies Maroc.
TPE’s President Anne B. Howard comments, “We are very pleased that TPE will be a part of a major consortium and that our innovative technology will be used in this high-profile project. We anticipate that other spin off applications of our technology such as desalination and thermal storage will be used for this initiative. This should be the precursor to additional deployments in Morocco, with other government agencies and major corporations across the globe.”
