Almaden Morocco expects to commission a new 250-MWp bifacial double glass photovoltaic (PV) module production line in late October, the equipment supplier — Italy-based Ecoprogetti srl — announced Tuesday.

Ecoprogetti has delivered what it says is the largest PV module factory in North Africa. The Italian company said that the production line was switched on in early July 2018 and is currently ramping up.

The new factory has training facilities for more than 100 employees and is powered by PV panels installed on its rooftop. The solar panel generating system has a capacity of 700 kWp
