FOUR ADVENTUROUS Elche residents set off this week in Fiat Pandas on a 5,000km Expedition to Morocco to help with schooling for 2,000 children in Southern Morocco. Javier Moreno, Mark Callejo, Enrique Sanchez and Miguel Angel Munoz are the four friends who will represent Elche over a seven day events dubbed the ‘Panda Raid’, featuring 84 vehicle entrants from Spain, Italy and Andorra.

The party departs from Madrid and proceeds to Algeciras and Tangiers, the gateway to Africa. The friends are taking with them 40 kilos of school supplies. Divided into six different stages, the route travels snow covered mountains in northern Morocco, the Southern desert and the Moroccan beaches.
