Rabat – The Moroccan government hopes that Robert Kennedy Foundation for Justice and Human Rights, whose members carry out a visit to the southern provinces, develops “a vision with objectivity and impartial approach” to the human rights situation in the region and in the Tindouf camps (in Algeria) where they will go in the future.

“We expect international organizations, whether Robert Kennedy Foundation and others to develop an objective, impartial and effective for both the southern provinces of the Kingdom for the Tindouf camps, for a lasting political solution and final artificial conflict “over the Moroccan Sahara, said to the MAP, the Minister of Communication, government spokesman Mustapha El Khalfi.

The visit of the delegation, which began Friday in Laayoune, takes place “under normal conditions,” he said, refuting unfounded allegations that the tour is subject to a “security grid.”

Morocco, he said, presented in 2007, an initiative for Sahara autonomy within the framework of national sovereignty, and began a series of constructive measures, including the establishment of mechanisms for structuring regional National Council of Human Rights, including the provinces of South and positive cooperation with the Council of Human Rights in Geneva last May, in the second cycle of the UPR (EPU-2012/2106), under which Morocco has accepted 140 recommendations out of a total of 148, which was well received on the international scene.

Mr. El Khalfi focused on the national effort provided to “overcome problems that may arise” in this field, through a participatory approach with organizations defending human rights.
