London – The Foreign Office highlighted, on Monday, the reforms undertaken in Morocco, notably the holding of free elections in November 2011.
“Free elections were held in Morocco”, underscored the Foreign Office in its 2011 Human Rights and Democracy Report.
The report sheds light on Morocco’s adoption of a new constitution which has enshrined fundamental rights and freedoms and established Amazigh as an official language alongside Arabic.
The document, which was presented by Foreign Secretary William Hague, provides a comprehensive look at the human rights work of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) around the world in 2011.
