Brussels – Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament voted Tuesday in favor of the Protocol to the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement between the EU and Morocco, on the general principles of participation of the United Community programs.
This text allows Morocco to participate in all current and future programs of the EU, under the provisions adopted in the framework of these programs, and contribute to the overall EU budget for programs in which it participates.
The protocol, which is consistent with the objectives of the new European Neighbourhood Policy, a landmark in the EU-Morocco, said the rapporteur Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck, in its draft recommendation.
