The venture returns to six cities across the North African country from May 7-12 starting in the capital city Rabat and culminating in Casablanca.

The initiative kicks off with a screening ofSomewhere Between at the Agdal Cultural Center hosted by US Ambassador Samuel L Kaplan. Mike Cahill’s Another Earth will screen on the final day in Casablanca.

An advance screening will be held in Rabat on May 3 of the documentary Buck at the International Festival Of Wildlife And Environmental Film.

“Sundance Institute, in collaboration with our colleagues at the US Embassy, is pleased to have the opportunity to return with Film Forward to the vibrant Kingdom of Morocco,” Sundance Institute executive director Keri Putnam said.

“Morocco is a country that maintains a strong cultural heritage yet also celebrates artistic expression and encourages communication between diverse cultures. This makes them ideal hosts for Film Forward.”
