Startups join PSU social incubator

Six new companies have joined Portland State University ’s Social Innovation Incubator.

The program works with startups that focus on social and environmental issues.

The six companies are:

• Bright Neighbor, an online sustainability platform that offers offline peer-to-peer borrowing and renting.

• Cascadia Experience, which offers conservation training for professionals through hands-on outdoor projects.

• EcoZoom, a certified B Corp that manufactures high-efficiency cookstoves.

• Elkarti, which offers handcrafted leather fashion accessories to create employment in Morocco, with a portion of proceeds donated to Moroccan orphans.

• Junk to Funk, which creates clothes from trash.

• Meditation Momma, which focuses on mediation programs.
