Rabat – Foreign Minister of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Joseph Bandabla Dauda, extended thanks and gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI for his efforts to restore calm and stability in Sierra Leone.
During talks with Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah, speaker of the House of Councillors, Mr. Dauda expressed his gratitude to HM the King, who managed to bring together the countries of the Mano River Union and restore calm and stability in Sierra Leone, the house said in a statement on Saturday.
Mr. Dauda applauded the reform initiatives launched by the Kingdom under the leadership of HM the King, which made it possible to build a distinguished democratic model in a spirit of dialogue and stability.
He also reiterated his country’s support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, stressing the importance of Morocco’s efforts to reach a solution to this issue.
For his part, Biadillah gave an overview of the major reforms under way in the Kingdom for over 10 years under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI.
Biadillah also raised the security challenges in the Sahel region and the Great Sahara generated by the growth of organized crime and human, arms and drug trafficking.
Regarding the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, Biadillah recalled the suffering of the Moroccans detained in Tindouf camps, highlighting the relevance of the Moroccan proposal for substantial autonomy for the southern provinces under the sovereignty of the Kingdom.
