WAM ABU DHABI: H.H Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the General Women Union, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Council for Motherhood and Childhood has received HRH Princess Lalla Amina, member of the International Advisory Committee (IAC) Middle East/North Africa of Special Olympics and Representative ”&” Honorary Chairperson of Special Olympics of Morocco.
Princess Lalla is in the UAE to participate in the meetings of the Regional Consultative Council of Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi to discuss issues related to supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Sheikha Fatima expressed hope that the meeting will come up with recommendations that are in the interest of plans to support athletes with disabilities.
In attendance at the meeting were Director of GWU Noura Al-Suwaidi, Director General of FDF Maryam Al-Rumaithi and wife of the Ambassador of Morocco to the UAE, and Chairperson of Initiatives and Families at the UAE’s Special Olympics Maryam Al-Qubaisi.
