Cairo – The permanent members of the UN Security Council and Morocco will elaborate a new draft resolution on Syria, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergueï Lavrov said on Saturday in Cairo.

“The permanent member states of the Security Council and Morocco intend to discuss a new draft resolution on Syria,” Lavrov told a meeting of Arab League foreign ministers.

Lavrov, whose country vetoed the a draft resolution to put an end to repression in Syria, said that violence in this Middle Eastern country should come to a halt.
