Moroccan capital of Rabat recently hosted Jidar urban art festival which produced a series of mural through the city. One of the invited artists was Saner from Mexico, known for his figurative works strongly influenced by Mexican tradition and culture.
For this work the artist mixed the elements of his native culture along with the local elements. Using bright colors and a simple composition, he created a large portrait of a masked man serving tea while standing in the water. By adding symbolic elements to his work and uniting the distant traditions of Mexico and Morocco, the finished work undoubtedly speaks of unity and possibility for people of different cultures to get a long.
