Renault Group’s Car Sales In Morocco Account For 38% Up To Late May

Casablanca – Car manufacturer Renault group, through its two makes Renault and Dacia, has sold 4,754 vehicles in May, achieving a market share of 31.9%.

Over the year, the group recorded 20,785 sales, up 23.8% over the same period a year earlier, the group said in a statement, adding that the group reached, in the year to late May, an accumulated market share of 37.9%.

With a total of 2,821 vehicles sold, Dacia reached a market share of 18.9% over the past month. It also ranks first on the Moroccan market with 11,857 vehicles sold over the year, up 25.2% on the same period of 2011 and an accumulated market share of 21.6%.

The Renault make sold, in May, 1,933 cars, a 13% market share. In the year up to May, it sold 8,928 vehicles, accounting for 16.3% of the market share.
