(MENAFN – Qatar News Agency) Members of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) met here on Wednesday with a delegation of Moroccan businessmen, active in the field of traditional industries to discuss means of bilateral cooperation in this field.
Nasser Al Meer, a QCCI Board Member, who is also the head of the Qatari- Moroccan Joint Business Council said the delegation s visit to Doha emphasizes its keenness to open prospects of bilateral cooperation noting meantime to Morocco s fast economic paces that prompted it to be a
promising investment platform globally and for the Gulf region.
Morocco is the world’s first producer of phosphoric acid, representing 46% of the global production.
Al Meer also referred to the country s record-high growth in the industry sector that rendered it a key economic partner to Qatar which succeeded acquiring a leading position among the nations thus attracting investments and having a prominent position in the Global Competitiveness Report on the Arab level.
Speaking on this occasion, Head of Al Sanie Establishment of Morocco, Abdullah Adnany said the Moroccan delegation comprises of some 25 businessmen and leaders as well as representatives of a number of 16 firms and parties active in in traditional industry in Morocco.
He explained that this visit aimed at marketing the handicrafts products of Moroccan ministry of industry and going in line with Morocco s strategy to develop the traditional industry via the integration with the Gulf markets.
