THEOLIA and the Moroccan Office National de l’Electricité et de l’Eau potable (“ONEE”) jointly carry out the project of Repowering and Extension of the Koudia Al Baida wind farm in the North of Morocco. This project consists of two phases:
· a first phase of 100 MW installed on the current Koudia Al Baida site, in the context of replacing the wind turbines currently operated by THEOLIA with higher capacity turbines (Repowering);
· a second phase of an additional 200 MW to be installed on sites next to this wind farm (Extension).
As project owners, THEOLIA and the ONEE jointly launched a call for tenders to choose the subcontractor that will supply, install and technically maintain the wind turbines of the 100 MW Repowering first phase.
On Friday November 2 nd, 2012, the two partners opened the remitted technical tenders. The five bidders are:
· Alstom Wind and SGTM France;
· Siemens Group;
· Vestas Group;
· Gamesa Group ;
· Acciona Group.
THEOLIA and the ONEE will, at first, carry out a technical analysis of these tenders, followed by an economical and financial analysis of the technically compliant tenders. The name of the laureate will be published at the end of this process.
