Lisbon – Portuguese President Anibal Cavaco Silva received, on Monday in Lisbon, Foreign Minister Saad Eddine El Othmani, who is on an official visit to Portugal.
During the talks, Cavaco Silva highlighted the excellent cooperation relations between Morocco and Portugal and stressed the need to further consolidate them, El Othmani told MAP.
Cavaco Silva also commended the key reforms launched by HM King Mohammed VI and the democratic progress achieved by Morocco, El Othmani said.
The Portuguese President also deemed that the Moroccan experience can stand as an example in the region, said El Othmani, adding that Cavaco Silva called for combining efforts to make the most of the upcoming bilateral high level meeting that will be held in the current year.
