RABAT Aug 13 (Reuters) – Morocco’s state-run grains authority ONICL said on Monday it has received no bids in its tender to buy up to 300,000 tonnes of U.S.-origin soft wheat as part of a preferential tariff agreement.

ONICL gave no reasons for the absence of bids in its first tender for foreign wheat in the current import campaign, set to be Morocco’s biggest in 30 years.

Two local importers said high international prices left margins that were too low on the transaction. (Reporting By Souhail Karam; Editing by Alison Birrane)
