In accordance to the abovementioned article, Speaker and members of the House of Representatives’ bureau, as well as the heads of the permanent Commissions and their bureaus are elected two times, the first at the beginning of the term of the House, and the second in its third year during the April session.
The election of the Bureau members takes place according to proportional representation of the parliamentary groups.
The Justice and Development Party (PJD) won 107 seats in the 395-seat House of Representatives during the first parliamentary election in Morocco after the adoption of the new Constitution in July.
