Washington – The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) should build durable ties with other key regional partners in the Middle East and North Africa such as Morocco, a report by US think tank Atlantic Council dubbed “Anchoring the Alliance” said.

“The Alliance should bind America’s Atlantic allies with its Pacific allies in a Pacific Peace Partnership and build durable ties with other key regional partners in the Middle East such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, and Morocco,” it said.

“NATO must look beyond its members to develop stronger global partnerships to meet new geopolitical realities,” said the report elaborated by project chairman R. Nicholas Burns, former US under secretary of state for political affairs and US ambassador to NATO.
