Washington – “My Land”, a documentary directed by Moroccan filmmaker Nabil Ayouch will be screened in the 5th “Boston Palestine Film Festival,” to be held in October 2011, said organizers on Wednesday.
In its fifth edition, the festival will feature “creative” works, which explore Palestine today and throughout its history.
“My Land” includes interviews with elderly Palestinians who were forced to abandon their homes in 1948 and who today live in the refugee camps in Lebanon.
It also features interviews with several young Israelis who today live on the land formerly owned by the Palestinians and feel deeply attached to it, but never really knowing why.
The documentary tells of the reality of two peoples who are fighting for the same land. A Remote dialogue that puts into perspective the conflict from purely human angle, according to the synopsis.
