Morocco’s Sacred Music Festival

The Sacred Music Festival is curently on the go in the city of Fes in Morocco.

It focuses on the shared heritage of Morocco and Spain, and the cultural influences both have had on each other.

The festival attracts international artists from around the world each year, promising a variety of styles.

Even South Africa’s own Johnny Clegg performed on stage at the 2007 show.

This year will see the Ladysmith Red Lions featuring from South Africa.

American singer songwriter, Patti Smith is due to headline the show.

The festival, now in it’s 19th year, promises to be a cultural journey, and runs until June 15, 2013.
