Morocco’s Cosumar will start operating its sugar refinery in Saudi Arabia’s Yanbu in March 2020, its CEO said on Monday, without giving further details.
Trials of the plant, 43.27% owned by Cosumar, will likely start before March 2020, CEO Mohamed Fikrat told Reuters, without giving details on why production was delayed.
The refinery, dubbed Durrah, was created as a joint venture with Saudi Consolidated Brothers and Industrial Project Development Company, Wilmar.
