Morocco’s Annual Inflation Rises to 0.6 pct in October

Morocco’s annual inflation rose to 0.6 percent in October from 0.4 percent in September, the High Planning Authority said on Wednesday.

Annual food inflation eased to 0.2 percent from 0.7 percent in the previous month, while non-food price inflation was flat at 1.3 percent in the 12 months to September.

Hotels and restaurants’ costs rose 3.2 percent, the agency said without giving details.

On a month-on-month basis, consumer price index eased 0.1 percent in October as food price inflation fell to 0.3 percent from 1.5 percent.
