Morocco’s agri-food exports to the European Union (EU) increased by 15.7 percent in 2017 compared to last year, according to a trade report published on Tuesday by the European Commission.

The report shows that the value of Morocco’s agri-food exports reached 2.2 billion euros (2.7 billion U.S. dollars).

For their part, Morocco’s agri-food imports from the EU declined 10 percent to 1.7 billion euros.

The decline was attributed mainly to less cereals imports.

Morocco is EU’s 18th agri-food supplier and the top in North Africa and Middle East.
