RABAT,11 Jumada Al-Thani/2 May (IINA)-The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) is celebrating its 30th anniversary (May 3rd, 1982) with a ceremony at its permanent headquarters, on 3 May 2012, under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
Personalities invited to the celebration ceremony include members of Morocco’s government, Member States’ ambassadors in Rabat, representatives of regional and international organizations, along with politicians, intellectuals, academics and media professionals. A special message by King Mohammed VI will be read out on the occasion, in appreciation of the role played by ISESCO in promoting education, science, culture and communication in the Muslim world, and in recognition of its contribution to the global effort to foster dialogue of cultures, alliance of civilizations as well as world peace and justice.
For the record, the founding conference of ISESCO (Fez, Morocco, 3-5 May 1982) was addressed at its closing session by late King Hassan II of Morocco.
