Morocco: Younes Belhanda, Mehdi Benatia, Oussama Essaidi to join Olympic team
The coach of Morocco’s Olympic football team, Hamidou El Ouarga, has announced the three senior players to join the Olympic team for London 2012. They are Younes Belhanda( Montpellier, France), Mehdi Benatia(Udinese), and Oussama Essaidi (SC Heerenveen).
Hamidou said he chose these players because they have proven their worth in their European clubs.
He also said that the team will prepare hard in order to make it at least to the quarter finals despite their presence in the same group with Spain the favorite of the tournament.
It should be recalled that Morocco is in group D with Spain, Japan and Honduras.
