Morocco win six medals at African junior judo championships

Morocco’s judo team took part at the 2012 edition of the African judo championships (in the juniors and cadet categories) in both the Men and ladies categories that ran from the 2 to 7 October.

Morocco left the competition with six medals; three in gold and the others in silver. Abderrahmane Boushita in the -55 kg category in the cadets won the silver medal while Frifra El Mehdi (+90 kg) won gold. Idrissi Ayoub (-60 kg) and Belattar Soufia (-63 kg) equally grabbed gold while Imad Bassou (-66 kg) and Fatima Zahra El Qoraichai (-48 kg) won bronze in the juniors.

The competition brought together 13 countries; Morocco, Algeria, South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Gabon, Libya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Mauritius, Chad, Tunisia andZimbabwe.
