Rabat – Morocco will endeavour to uphold peoples’ just causes, especially the Palestinian cause, within the UN Security Council, of which the Kingdom has become non-permanent member as of January 1 for two years, Morocco’s permanent representative to the UN said.
In a phone statement to the Moroccan channel Al Oula on Monday, Mohamed Loulichki said that Morocco’s action will be guided by the status quo situation in the Palestinian issue and the national Palestinian Authority’s bid for UN membership.
The ongoing dynamism in the Arab world figures prominently on the Security Council’s list of interests, and Morocco is perceived as a dynamic country in terms of foreign policy, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Loulichki said.
