Whilst Almeria may be ahead in sectors such as courgettes or peppers, he points out that Moroccan imports of such products are increasing. Morocco produces about 75,000 tons of pepper annually, of which 60,000 tons are primarily exported to Europe.
It should be noted that these positive agricultural performances in Morocco are mainly thanks to the Green Morocco Plan, an initiative to boost agriculture.
