Morocco: USO wins first women’s Rugby tournament
Union Sportive d’Oujda (USO) has won the first women’s national rugby tournament organized in Casablanca at the Racing de Ben M’Sik Sidi Othman stadium.
Only seven teams took part in this maiden edition: ASSA (Association Sportive Souss Agadir), CURA (Club Universitaire de Rugby d’Agadir), RAMO (Racing Athlétique Ben M’Sik Sidi Othman Casablanca), COC (Club Olympique de Casablanca), AVPR (Association des Vétérans pour la Promotion du Rugby de Témara) and USO (Union Sportive d’Oujda). A Striking observation June 7 during the final between USO and CURA was the absent of a prize award ceremony. An indication, according to fans, that shows Morocco’s lack of zeal to promote rugby.
