Morocco To Host In May Meeting Of MENA-OECD Initiative, Official

Paris – Morocco will host next May a meeting of the MENA-OECD initiative for governance and investment in support of development, Minister of General Affairs and Governance Mohamed Najib Boulif.

This regional meeting is part of the preparation for the comprehensive strategy of this regional program by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development for the MENA region, he told MAP on the sidelines of a OECD’s high-level meeting which he co-chaired Thursday in Paris.

Morocco assumes since 2009 the co-presidency of this initiative which seeks to generate employment, enhance business climate, promote good governance, transparency and accountability, and support civil society.

Boulif said the next meeting will be an occasion for southern countries to give their opinion on the OECD’s development strategy under way.
