Morocco will host, from 7 to 8 April, the 4th edition of “Hub Africa,” a forum involving entrepreneurs in Africa and elsewhere from both the public and private sectors, reports said on Wednesday. Held under the theme “Entrepreneurship as an accelerator of economic emergence,” the meeting is an opportunity for project developers and professionals from all sectors of activity to showcase African expertise.

Senegal will be the guest country at this edition, organized by Morocco Export and Impact NGE.

Some 10,000 visitors and 3,000 participants in the workshops of the NGE Academy are expected to attend the continental event.

The objectives announced for the 4th edition are mainly the presentation of the political, economic and social development model of Morocco. It also aims to place Morocco as a hub between Asia, the Middle East, Europe, America and Africans countries.

The organizers of this event will use it as an opportunity to prepare the COP22 to be held in November in Morocco.

In this regard, a COP22 village will be installed on the sidelines of Hub Africa, in a bid to encourage Moroccan and African SMEs and raise their awareness on energy and environmental issues.

Hub Africa seeks to mobilize the forces from African Diaspora and the continent’s friends to facilitate exchanges of experience and expertise in entrepreneurship and investment. Eight prizes are scheduled to be awarded to the most successful entrepreneurs in Africa.
