Casablanca will be hosting its first international gastronomy festival from March 6 to March 8.

The art and science behind the stove will be showcased as part of a bid to boost development in Africa, according to promoters. Chefs from Morocco and across the African content will be offering gastronomical experiences with African tastes. The brainchild of the film producer and cultural promoter Siham El-Faydi, the festival aims to open up new tourism routes.

”We are ready to bet on the wealth of our heritage and chefs’ creativity,’ El-Faydi said, ”to promote a sector that has not yet been discovered here in Morocco.” (ANSAmed).
