Brussels – Morocco is taking part in the meeting of the bureau of the UfM Parliamentary Assembly, which opened on Friday in Brussels.
The Kingdom is represented in the meeting by speaker of the House of Representatives, Karim Ghellab.
The meeting, which aims to revive the Euro-Mediterranean relations, is bringing together the UfM secretariat, the Anna Lindh Foundation, the European Commission and the European Investment Bank.
“The meeting is an opportunity to revive Euro-Mediterranean relations both politically and economically,” president of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, said shortly before the meeting.
For his part, Ghellab said that the meeting will ponder on the projects to be implemented for the southern shore of the Mediterranean.
