Cairo – Morocco is among the 15 countries taking part in the 7th competition of the best Arab technological plan, held annually by the Arab Foundation for Science and Technology (ASTF).
Around 72 projects will compete in this event which brings together young scientists from Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, USA, France, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Qatar, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen, organizers say.
The projects cover areas of information and communication technology, renewable energies, environment and medicine, as well as biotechnology and electronics.
The participants in the competition are called upon to manifest their skills during two training workshops to be held in September 10-12 and 18-20 in Egypt and Bahrain respectively.
The winners will take part in the international entrepreneurship competition, Intel Global Challenge at UC Berkeley next November in the US.
