Marrakech – The Moroccan constitutional council assumed on Friday the presidency of the Association of Constitutional Courts using the French Language (ACCPUF).

President of the Kingdom’s constitutional council Mohamed Achargui will run the ACCPUF for a period of three years.

The decision was taken following a meeting of the ACCPUF’s general assembly, as part of the sixth triennial congress of the Association held July 4-6 in Marrakech, under the theme “the Citizen and Constitutional Justice”.

The meeting also adopted the 2012-2015 action plan which focuses on promotion legal cooperation between member states, reinforcing institutional capacities and broadening cooperation and partnership with similar bodies.
