Rabat -Trade between Morocco and Sub-Saharan Africa jumped from 3.6 billion dirhams to 11.7 from 2000 to 2010, data from Moroccan Department of Studies and Financial Forecasts (DEPF) showed.
This significant rise is chiefly due to the increased Moroccan exports which soared from 5.8 billion dirhams to 7.2 billion dirhams in 2010, said the Department, which is under the Economy and Finance Ministry.
During the same period, Imports from this region rose to 4.5 billion dirhams.
The non-agglomerated coal make up more than three quarters of Moroccan purchases from that country, followed by ”car industry” (7%), the same source added.
