Lima — Speaker of the House of Representatives (Lower House) handed a written message from HM King Mohammed VI to Ollanta Humala Tasso who was inaugurated on Thursday as Peru’s new president.
“Humala was glad to receive this message from HM the King and asked us to convey to the sovereign his heartfelt thanks for this royal gesture,” Radi said following a luncheon offered by the Peruvian president in honor of heads of states, governments and delegations.
In a statement to MAP, he underlined Morocco’s strong presence in the inauguration ceremony, describing this presence as positive for the future of bilateral relations.
He added that he seized this opportunity to meet with several members of the new government, mainly Foreign Minister Rafael Roncagliolo.
Radi was accompanied by Morocco’s ambassador in Lima Oumama Aouad.
