RABAT, May 28 (KUNA) — Morocco and Spain bolstered their security cooperation through the opening of two coastal security centers on Monday, one in Tangiers port north of Morocco, and the other in southern Spain in Algeciras port.
The new two centers aim to boost cooperation in the fight against cross-border crime and illegal immigration.
Moroccan Minister of Interior Mohand Laenser along with Spanish counterpart Jorge Fernandez Diaz inaugurated the two centers.
The centers will be fully fortified with forces from the security, National Guard, civil and police apparatus.
The Moroccan minister said that the inauguration of the two centers was part of the three previously signed agreements between the two governments.
