Washington – Thanks to the outstanding political and constitutional reform process launched by HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco is resolutely committed to a programme of democracy and continues to be a model for the Arab world, said the U.S. online news website “Newsmax.com.”
“The reforms initiated by King Mohammed should be greeted with gratitude and respect. At long last there is another model for the Arab future,” said Newsmax.com in analysis by Herbert London, president emeritus of Hudson Institute, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute.
He also noted that Morocco’s new constitution brings about “remarkable” democratic progress, adding that it recognizes the rights of ethnical and linguistic minorities, and further reinforces gender equality, the independence of the judiciary and the Prime Minister’s powers.
