Moroccan telecom regulator ANRT announced a revision of the frequency fees applicable to operators holding VSAT, trunked radio (‘3RP’), and GMPCS (Global Mobile Personal Communication by Satellite) licences.

The annual fees levied on trunked radio and GMPCS operators have been halved to support the development of services in these two niche markets, said the regulator. A new pricing scale is now in place for VSAT licence holders, with a reduction of more than 50 percent for networks with over 500 terminals.
