New York (UN) – Moroccan Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri said, on Wednesday during the Francophonie’s informal ministerial consultations on the major political transitions in the Francophone area, that Morocco is ready to share its experience in the area of democratic reforms.
He added that the Kingdom is prepared to continue sharing its expertise with the brotherly African and Arab states, by encouraging experience-exchange between elected officials, local actors and civil society stakeholders concerned.
The Moroccans acted as responsible citizens, demanding further reforms and democratistion, which was done through a constitutional reform carried out on the basis of a participatory approach, he said.
The meeting discussed the situation in the French-speaking countries engaged in transition, as well as means to assist them in reinforcing institutional capacities.
