COPENHAGEN CLIMATE CONFERENCE
In the preparation for the COP22 summit which is expected to be held in Marrakech from November 7–18, the Moroccan government in partnership with France organised a two-day forum to set the global climate agenda for the grand occasion.
The event was attended by the French minister of Environment Ségolène Royal who called for implementation of the Paris agreement on climate change.
“Partnerships are very important because that is what allows you to put words into action more so on the Paris agreement. I take a few examples: the Solar coalition. What is solar panel action? All the countries around the equator will join together to make their calls for action against Solar panel,” said French minister of Environment Ségolène Royal.

The UN’s Climate Change Conferences are yearly Forums held under the principles of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The conferences aims at establishing legally binding obligations for developed countries to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.
COP21 is a legally binding and universal agreement on climate change, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2 degrees celcius.
