Morocco international midfielder Younes Belhanda has insisted he made the right to choose Morocco over his native France.
“I didn’t hesitate. A lot of people told me, and still tell me, that it was a mistake to not choose France. But I made this choice and everyone needs to respect it. Otherwise, that’s slighting Morocco,” he said while speaking to France Football.
“I won’t let anyone say bad things about it. I respect France. I am born in France but a big part of my family is in Taza.”
