Madrid – Morocco is an example of a country that managed to implement far-reaching reforms in stability, said the EU special representative for the South Mediterranean region, Bernardino Léon.
“Morocco is a good example that shows that we can implement far-reaching reforms and maintain stability,” Léon told the Spanish daily El Pais” on the occasion of his tour of several Arab countries.
The daily said that though Arab states are different from one another, Bernardino Léon will convey them the “same message”: that the EU is prepared to assist these countries in consolidating the reform process with no interference.
As part of his tour of Arab states, Léon had visited Morocco last July and had talks with a number of Moroccan officials.
