Morocco: Italian design expo opens in Rabat

Cultural Institute presents ‘Foreign Ministry Collection’

(ANSAmed) – RABAT, FEBRUARY 24 – People’s interest in Italian exports is on the rise in Morocco. Further evidence for this statement was the large crowd that attended the opening of the exhibition ”Collezione Farnesina Design” (Foreign Ministry Design Collection) at the National Architecture School in Rabat.
The exhibition was set up in collaboration with the Italian embassy in Morocco and the Italian Cultural Institute in Rabat, It presents the best Italian industrial designs, collected by the Italian Foreign Ministry. Italian ambassador to Morocco Piergiorgio Cherubini opened the exhibition and asked the people who were present to let themselves be ”inspired by the exhibition”, which also hosts paintings of painter Domingo Notaro and a virtual visit to the building though photos showing the works in the Ministry.

Moroccan Minister for City Planning Mohamed Nabil Benabdallah called the idea to host the Italian Foreign Office collection ”brilliant” and expressed his satisfaction: ”it is an extraordinary opportunity to admire the Italian genius.” The exhibition will remain open until March 23. During this period, architecture students will be able to participate in workshops organised by the exhibiting firms. (ANSAmed).
