New York – Moroccan Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri said, on Friday in New York, that Morocco is committed to strengthen its relations with the United Nations.
During a reception held at the Moroccan Residence, notably in the presence of the United Nations’ Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the Minister reaffirmed “the commitment of Morocco to deepen its relations with the United Nations to promote peace, individual and collective liberties, as well as security.”
He also stressed the “importance granted by HM King Mohammed VI to South-South cooperation.”
Fassi Fihri highlighted on this occasion the adoption of the new constitution in Morocco, which “will enable the Kingdom to have advanced mechanisms,” saying that the “Moroccan legislation is in conformity with the most advanced international standards.”
