On the political side, an increasing number of US and international media outlets write about Western Sahara, Polisario involvement in Libya, and the recent response of the British Parliament to the Sahara issue.

Also, the Moroccan National Human Rights Council (CNDH) organized a conference on the role of national human rights institutions (NHRIs) in the prevention of torture in Africa on 7-8 September 2011, in Rabat.
