On the political side, Morocco’s King Mohammed VI will preside over Friday’s opening of the country’s parliament during which legislators will vote many bills, particularly proposed laws on the House of Councilors and on the elections of council members. The parliamentarians will also discuss the bill that completed and amended the proposed law on the renewal of the general electoral rolls and their adaptation after they were computerized. The anticipated legislative elections are slated for November 25th, following the adoption of a new constitution passed after the July 1st referendum during which Moroccans largely approved the King’s reform proposals.
