Morocco Hosts Arab League Telecom Committee

Moroccan telecom regulator Anrt hosted Arab League telecom committee on 30-31 March, in collaboration with the Arab League ICT development department. This tenth meeting is the last to take place before the ITU assembly general is held from 20 October to 03 November in Tunisia.

The group looked at the Arab League’s proposals on issues such as standardisation across ICT, spectrum rationalisation, bridging the digital gap, accounting issues resolution, interoperability, network security and the fight against illegal and harmful practices. Smart cities and IoT were also broached.
